Chanel novelty was the short lived name of Reinad in 1941. The company announced that the name was changed to avoid confusion with other firms of the same name. This particular brooch has two signed versions that differ in the number of oval rhinestones across. The attribution of this brooch is based on those examples. It should be mentioned that this one is the largest size bringing the number of variations to three.
